Tuesday's road races as well as the track action at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa Thursday through Saturday April 27-29 will be shown via a mix of online coverage via USATF.TV and TV coverage. It'll be a quick turnaround for Clayton Murphy, who anchored the U.S. to a thrilling win in the 4x800 relay at the IAAF World Relays in the Bahamas on Sunday and is scheduled to compete in the USATF 1 Mile Road Championships in Des Moines, Iowa on Tuesday. Later this week, Murphy will return to the track and race in the 1,500 meters. Murphy, the Olympic bronze medalist, has been revving into high gear in April. The first-year pro from Akron ran 1:43.60 on April 15 at the Mt. SAC Relays in California. "Nice little race stretch through here and then (I'll) rest up for Pre," Murphy said after his race at Mt. SAC. The Prefontaine Classic is May 26-27 in Eugene, Ore. Clayton has stated his major focus is to make the U.S. team and compete for a gold medal at the IAAF World Track and Field Championships in London this summer. "Everything's a build," he said. "Everything (going back to) indoor is building toward June, and everything after June's going to be building toward August." Murphy won the 800 meters at last year's Drake Relays, running 1:46.71 in last year's build up to victories at the NCAA championships (1,500 meters) and Olympic Trials (800). Muprhy's time at Drake last year was his personal best until he ran 1:44.76 at the Olympic Trials. He ran a stunning 1:42.93 at the Olympic final in Rio de Janiero.
